Following the success of the Glass Fusion workshops in August, Mark is back with a new workshop!
This time it’s to create a glass lantern using glass fusion techniques, just like that shown below:
Just like in our last workshop, you’ll be creating a number of glass fusion pieces (six in total this time!) to fill in all sides of the lantern. On the day you’ll get to choose between either a beach hut & lighthouses theme or a Christmas theme.
Once you’ve done the fun part of making the glasswork, we’ll take over and pop them in one of our kilns to get them nice and warm for a while (760 degrees Celsius to be precise if you’re interested). During this process the magic will happen and the glass will all fuse together.
Whilst glass fusing is challenging if you don’t know what you’re doing, Mark, who is a very experienced artist, will take you through the process. You’ll be in a pair of safe hands with him and he’ll make sure all safety precautions are taken and the chance of getting any cuts are minimised (we don’t fancy all that paperwork!)
Booking your Place
As this is a more complicated activity you need to be 16+ and sensible to join. Spaces on this one-off workshop will be limited to 15 people so we advise you getting your reservation in fast! The session will run on the following date/time.
As part of the ticket price you’ll also receive a complementary hot or cold drink on the house! Additional refreshments can be provided but they will be charged at the normal prices.
