Mother’s Day is not far away, in fact the 27th March is rapidly approaching!
Have you sorted anything out for your mum yet?
Fear not, here at the Kiln we’ve put our thinking caps on to create our very own take on the day.
You can probably guess that it will of course involve you and your mum decorating some pottery (from our 350+ different types of pottery!).
Our special twist is that we’ve also partnered with our very good friend Nicola, from Nicola’s Cake Corner (hint, her food’s delicious, we’ve taken the opportunity to test it for you!) we’d like to introduce you to our special Afternoon Tea and Painting event.
Afternoon Tea and Painting: Mother’s Day with a Difference
So what is our afternoon tea and painting even I hear you say?! Well, it is what it says on the tin.
You’ll get a lovely afternoon tea consisting of:
- Sandwiches – cheese savoury, egg mayo, tuna & cucumber, ham & tomato
- A Corned Beef & Onion slice
- Scones – both cheese and fruit
- Cakes – Victoria sponge with raspberry jam and vanilla slice (our favourite!)
On the day, you will also choose one item (or more if you wish – we won’t stop you) from our extensive pottery range. You can then sit back, relax and enjoy the therapeutic effects of painting with your loved one.
The Important Details
Pricing for this event is £24 per person. This includes:
- A pre-packaged afternoon tea box containing the above items
- A £12 deposit towards any item of pottery you will paint in the store (check out our online shop to see the majority of our range)
- A hot or cold drink from our lovely drinks menu (you can buy more if you wish)
For those visiting the area we can also post your finished items after they have been fired. This does attract an additional charge, get in touch for further details.
However, we do need to make you aware of some important extras:
- Food Allergies: Due to where the food is prepared gluten, dairy & nut free diets cannot be accommodated. By reserving your space on the event you are accepting that this is the case and you have no allergies towards these ingredients
- Refund Policy: Once your place is reserved, and in the event you need to cancel, we will be unable to refund the food related portion of the ticket price (£12). The £12 deposit will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days before the event (i.e. any time up to the 20th March). Of course, if for any unforeseen reason we needed to cancel the event a full refund would be offered
